Resource One is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned by the member/owners in the communities it serves. Therefore, interest earned on loans and investments is returned to member/owners in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and other valued services.

Resource One is a federally insured, full-service financial institution that offers its members a variety of options; ranging from checking and savings accounts, auto loans, mortgages, CDs and other investment products.

Resource One’s commitment to service, growth and innovative financial products is best expressed through our mission statement, “Our Members’ Financial Resource for Life”. We currently maintain seven branches in the Dallas metroplex and one in Houston in Northwest Harris County.

Resource One Credit Union membership is available to persons who live, worship or work in the communities of Dallas and Northwest Harris County. Membership eligibility is also extended to family members.

Resource One was originally chartered on July 15, 1936, under the name of Sears Dallas Employees Federal Credit Union. Over time, the increased demand for more locations and additional products and services prompted the expansion of their product lines and field of membership. Through mergers with other company credit unions such as The Dallas Morning News, Safeway, The Southland Corporation, and Texas Associates Federal Credit Union, Resource One has built a solid foundation from which to expand its field of membership, and currently serves over 40,000 members worldwide.
